SugarMach Indonesia 2027 Returns as Indonesia Targets National Sugar Self-Sufficiency

SugarMach Indonesia 2026 was concluded with tremendous success—served as a global hub by welcoming 372 exhibitors and over 31,000 industry professionals from 20 countries—Solidifying SugarMach Indonesia as Indonesia’s only dedicated event to machinery, equipment, processing & technology in sugar industry.

This leading exhibition will return on 27–29 July 2027 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, bringing together key players from Indonesia and international markets across the sugar processing & technology value chain.

This key event comes as Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture is confident that domestic sugar production will rise, driven by strategic government initiatives aimed at increasing sugarcane yields and cutting reliance on white sugar imports by maximizing soil productivity and expanding sugarcane cultivation acreage.         

To reach its target of 3 million metric tons of sugar, the ministry is focusing on land optimization and improved farming techniques, setting an ambitious goal to yield 100 tons of sugarcane per hectare. Ultimately, achieving national self-sufficiency and strengthening local supply chains will require tight collaboration among the central government, private sugar enterprises, and smallholder farmers.
